What's going on at ACC?

On Friday, darkness covered the land. The earth shook. Hope seemed lost. Saturday brought silence. The waiting. The wondering. But Sunday changed everything. What looked like defeat… was never the end. The stone was rolled away.

As Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowd celebrated Him as King. They laid down cloaks, praised His miracles, and welcomed Him with joy. Yet many of those same people misunderstood who He truly was. They were looking for a political savior—a conquering king on a warhorse—not a humble Lord who would go to the cross.

Join us on Sunday, March 22 at Ashland Church of Christ for a special evening of fellowship and worship during this Lenten season.

Join us Friday, April 3 from 6:00–6:30 PM at Ashland Church of Christ for a Good Friday service with hymns and a message led by Pastor Collin Brennan as we remember the sacrifice of Jesus.

Brad Stine is known as “God’s Comic” and has been bringing bold, high-energy comedy to churches and audiences across the country for years. This is a great opportunity to invite friends, family, and neighbors for a night of clean comedy and community.

This Lent, the churches in the Plains and Ashland communities are coming together for a time of fellowship, reflection, and worship as we prepare our hearts for Easter.

As we enter March and continue our Bible in a Year journey, Pastor Collin reminded us that spiritual growth often happens in seasons that feel slow or challenging. When reading difficult passages — especially in the Old Testament — we are encouraged not to rush, but to ask why. Every law, instruction, and detail reveals something about God’s character, His holiness, and His purpose for His people.

If today is the day you pick your Bible back up, let this be your reminder: Keep going. God is still speaking.

Big things are happening at CYC Youth Group — and we can’t wait to share them with you! Starting Sunday, February 15th, CYC will officially move to Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m.

In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul reminds us that no matter how gifted, knowledgeable, or sacrificial we are, without love it all means nothing. Love isn’t an extra quality added onto faith — it is the foundation that gives everything meaning.

Today, with gratitude and unity, we joyfully share that Collin Brennan has been affirmed by the congregation to serve as Lead Pastor. We also celebrate Ben Reese, who was voted in to serve as an Elder, committing himself to shepherding, wisdom, and prayerful leadership.

Between packed schedules, messy houses, family tensions, overflowing to-do lists, and expectations that never quite match reality, Christmas can feel a lot more chaotic than calm. This year at Ashland Church of Christ, we’re leaning into the chaos and discovering how Jesus meets us right in the middle of it with hope, peace, and joy.
