He Is Risen
Message by Pastor Collin Brennan

On Friday, darkness covered the land. The earth shook. Hope seemed lost.
Saturday brought silence. The waiting. The wondering.
But Sunday changed everything.
What looked like defeat… was never the end.
The stone was rolled away.
From Darkness to Life
Even with all the promises, the disciples stood in grief and confusion. The tomb was sealed. The story seemed over.
But early that morning, everything shifted.
Mary came to the tomb in sorrow—but encountered something greater than an empty grave. She encountered the risen Jesus.
In a single moment, everything changed.
Not just because the stone was rolled away…but because Jesus was alive.
He Is Risen – Present Reality
This isn’t just something that happened 2,000 years ago.
He is risen.
Not was risen. Not just a moment in history.
He is alive today.
That means:
Death has lost its power
Sin no longer defines us
Hope is alive
If Jesus had not risen, we would still be trapped in sin and without hope.
But because He did…
Everything is different.
The Grave Didn’t Win
Jesus didn’t just rise from the dead—He defeated death itself.
The stone wasn’t rolled away to let Him out…but to show us that the grave had already been conquered.
The cross paid the price.
The resurrection proved the victory.
Darkness didn’t win.
The grave didn’t win.
Jesus won.
What It Means for Us
Because He is risen:
We can live with joy—even in difficult seasons
We can walk in freedom from sin
We can have unshakable hope
The same power that rolled away the stone is still at work today.
Nothing is too broken.
Nothing is too far gone.
Your Response
The resurrection isn’t just something to celebrate—it’s something to respond to.
Because if Jesus is alive…
He is not just Savior—He is Lord.
And that calls for a response:
If Jesus is Lord… I surrender
If Jesus is Lord… I follow
If Jesus is Lord… I say yes
Today is the day to step into new life.
Closing Truth
Because Jesus is risen…
The grave is empty.
Hope is alive.
And your story is far from over.
