What's going on at ACC?

As Paul continues his letter to the Colossians, he shifts from what Christ has done for us to how we are called to live because of it. Through Jesus, we have been raised to a new life, one that is no longer defined by our past, our sin, or our failures. Instead, we are called to put away the old self and put on the character of Christ.

Rules may control behavior, but they cannot transform the heart. In Colossians 2:16-23, Pastor Collin Brennan reminds us that true spiritual growth comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ, not through legalism, religious performance, or man-made rules. What does it truly mean to make Jesus Lord of your life?

As we enter March and continue our Bible in a Year journey, Pastor Collin reminded us that spiritual growth often happens in seasons that feel slow or challenging. Every law, instruction, and detail reveals something about God’s character, His holiness, and His purpose for His people.

Revelation 1:1–3 tells us that this message is inspired by God, centered on Jesus Christ, and meant to be read, heard, and kept. There is a blessing promised not merely to those who study it, but to those who live it.

In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul reminds us that no matter how gifted, knowledgeable, or sacrificial we are, without love it all means nothing. Love isn’t an extra quality added onto faith — it is the foundation that gives everything meaning.
