OVERVIEW
Once Dead, Now Alive
Colossians 2:6-15
Paul reminds us in Colossians that life in Christ is not about religion, rules, or trying harder—it is about being made completely new through Jesus.
Before Christ, we were spiritually dead, trapped in sin, shame, and separated from God. But Jesus did what we could never do for ourselves. Through His death on the cross and His resurrection, He canceled the debt of sin and defeated the power of darkness once and for all.
Paul encourages believers to stay rooted in Christ, built up in Him, and overflowing with thankfulness. The world offers empty promises and temporary fulfillment, but true life is found only in Jesus.
Because of Christ:
We are forgiven.
We are no longer condemned.
We are spiritually alive.
We walk in freedom, not fear.
The cross was not defeat—it was victory. Jesus took what was dead and breathed life into it again. And that same transforming power is still at work in us today.
No matter what your past looks like, Jesus still makes dead things come alive.
Baptism Sunday
We’re excited to celebrate with Matt Kays as he takes this next step in his faith journey through water baptism. Baptism is a public declaration of a life transformed by Jesus—a powerful picture of being made new in Christ.
Join us as we rejoice with Matt and witness God continuing to work in and through his life. What an incredible reminder that Jesus is still changing lives today!
Ready to take the next step in your walk with Jesus and be baptized? Let us know.
