Rough Edges Ministry – A Community for Men with Rough Edges

Over the past seven days, more than 200 people from eight churches joined together to circle our town in prayer, believing that God could bring freedom and hope.

Led by student Faith Wells and sponsored by Sara Roy, this student-led outreach is being equipped by founders and missionaries Billy and Katy Willis. Youth Alive empowers students to share the Gospel in their schools through clubs, prayer, and peer ministry. Join us for a Christmas in Summer Celebration on Saturday, August 2 from 2–4 PM at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Ashland! We’ll be packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child and providing backpacks with school supplies for local K–8 students. Most supplies are ready, but we still need 24-count crayons (100 boxes) and 200 washcloths. Come help pack, grab a box to fill at home, and be a part of sharing Jesus with children around the world!

Camp Firelight VBS at Ashland First Baptist Church was a fun-filled week of music, crafts, games, and Bible stories! Each night, kids learned to trust God—whether needing wisdom, peace, or joy—through stories like Jacob’s ladder and Jesus calming the storm. With songs like “Go Go Go With Us” and help from amazing volunteers, it was a summer adventure to remember!

Join us for Camp Firelight VBS at Ashland First Baptist Church, July 20–24 from 6–8 PM! Kids will enjoy games, crafts, snacks, music, and Bible stories as they learn to trust God no matter what. This year's theme is based on Psalm 56:3: “Whenever I’m afraid, I put my trust in you.” All are welcome—bring your friends and neighbors for an unforgettable summer adventure with God!

We are participating in the pantry project with LSCA Camp. We are collecting 40 pounds of shell macaroni and GFS gift cards.
