Rough Edges Ministry – A Community for Men with Rough Edges

Rough Edges is a community for men who want to grow in faith, brotherhood, and strength. We gather every month to be sharpened by God’s Word, challenged in our walk, and encouraged to stand firm in a world that often pushes against us.

Rough Edges is located on Silent Thunder Farms, just 3.5 miles north of Virginia, Illinois, at Route 78 and Ruppel Road. Our monthly gatherings take place in a rehabilitated barn we call the Trophy Room. The walls are lined with dozens of mounts from around the world — including North American whitetails scoring over 200 inches. The barn overlooks a fully stocked 5-acre lake and is surrounded by hundreds of acres of exceptional whitetail habitat. It’s the perfect setting for men to come together, build friendships, and focus on what matters most.

Monthly Gatherings

We meet on the last Friday of every month. Each gathering includes fellowship, teaching, and encouragement designed to help men and boys grow closer to Christ. Whether you’re a father bringing your son, a young man seeking direction, or a brother looking for strength, you’ll find a place here.
