Joy Found in Christ continues our journey through Philippians by drawing a clear distinction between knowing about Jesus and truly knowing Him. Paul reminds the church that joy is not rooted in achievements, religious credentials, or outward obedience, but in a living, ongoing relationship with Christ.

True joy isn’t found in comfort or circumstances, but in a humble heart anchored in Christ. As Paul writes from prison, he shows that pride quietly robs us of joy and unity, while humility restores both.

As we step into a new year, Pastor Collin Brennan opened a new sermon series in the book of Philippians with a powerful reminder: joy is not rooted in circumstances, but in Christ. Drawing from Paul’s imprisonment in Rome, we see a faith that refuses to be shaken by hardship.

As we closed out the year, Pastor Collin Brennan invited our church family to reflect on a simple but urgent question: Are we ready? Following Christmas and on the edge of a new year, this message looked not backward, but forward—to the promise of Christ’s return. Drawing from Isaiah 62 and Matthew 25, Pastor Collin walked us through Jesus’ parable of the ten virgins, reminding us that spiritual readiness isn’t about appearances—it’s about what’s burning within.

For generations, Israel lived under Roman occupation—oppressed, heavily taxed, and longing for God to intervene. Into that darkness, God unfolded His meticulous plan of redemption. In Luke 2, we are reminded that the waiting was not in vain.

Collin Brennan brings an encouraging message titled “Help Is on the Way.” As we move from Thanksgiving toward Christmas, we’re reminded that God specializes in comeback stories—both in Scripture and in our everyday lives.

Sunday, December 7th, Billy Willis from Youth Alive as our guest speaker. Billy will be bringing a powerful and timely message titled “Compassion”, rooted in Matthew 9:36–38.

This week’s message centers on Psalm 33 and the idea that faith is a dialogue—a back-and-forth between God and His people. Just as the Psalms themselves are structured like the five books of Moses, they reflect how Israel remembered God’s powerful acts and responded with worship, trust, and obedience.

Join us as Collin brings a powerful Thanksgiving message reminding us of the heart of the season: gratitude grounded in the grace of God. As we head into a week of family gatherings, full tables, and grateful hearts, he took us deep into Ephesians 2 to remind us where true thanksgiving begins. Thanksgiving isn’t just a holiday — it’s a lifestyle filled with awe for the mercy God has shown us.

This morning we close out our James series. Week by week, James has called us to a faith that isn’t theoretical but lived, a faith that has both feet on the ground. Today, the final theme rises like a steady sunrise over our souls: patience and prayerfulness.

In “Wisdom That Walks,” Collin Brennan continues our series in the book of James, exploring the heart behind conflict and the source of true wisdom. James challenges us to look beyond surface disagreements and examine what’s really driving our words and actions. Is it jealousy? Pride? Selfish ambition? Or is it a humble spirit rooted in God’s wisdom?

In a world where battles rage all around us—spiritually, mentally, and emotionally—it’s easy to feel unarmed. But Scripture reminds us that “the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4). God has equipped His people with everything we need to stand firm, overcome fear, and live victoriously through Christ.

Guest speaker Rick Cunningham shares a powerful message from Genesis 3 titled “I Did It My Way.” Adam and Eve’s choice to trust their own way over God’s led from Eden’s delight to the pain of exile. Resentment is understandable when we’ve been hurt, but it is also deadly—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Through David’s encounters with Shimei, we learn the courage to forgive instead of striking back, the grace to release bitterness, and the reminder that forgiveness is not a one-time event but a continual process. Jesus calls us to forgive as we’ve been forgiven, letting go of poison and walking in freedom.
