OVERVIEW
By No Means
Message by Pastor Collin Brennan
Romans 6:1-10
What does it truly mean to make Jesus Lord of your life?
Continuing the conversation from last week, Pastor Collin challenged us to consider whether we surrender all of our lives to Jesus or only the parts we choose. True discipleship means giving Christ authority over everything—both the major struggles and the everyday habits we often overlook.
The message centered on Romans 6 and Galatians 2:20, reminding us that following Jesus is more than simply believing—it is a complete transformation.
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” — Galatians 2:20
Paul asks an important question: if grace forgives sin, should we continue living in it? His answer is clear: “By no means!” — Romans 6:2
Through faith in Christ, our old life is buried and we are raised into a new life with Him. Baptism reflects this reality—our old self dies, and we begin walking in newness of life.
True freedom comes through surrender. When we trust Christ fully, we are no longer slaves to sin but are transformed to live for Him.
The invitation is simple: let Jesus be more than Savior—let Him be Lord.
