OVERVIEW

A Call to Faithfulness

Sunday, February 22, 2026 | Pastor Rick Cunningham

In this opening message from the book of Revelation, Pastor Rick Cunningham reminds us that Revelation is not a book meant to confuse or frighten the Church — it is a message from God to His people, revealing Jesus Christ and calling His Church to faithfulness.

Revelation was written to sustain believers in times of crisis, oppression, and cultural pressure. It offers both hope and warning. The greatest threat to the Church is not persecution from the outside, but assimilation from within — slowly becoming shaped by the culture in order to avoid discomfort or suffering.

Revelation 1:1–3 tells us that this message is inspired by God, centered on Jesus Christ, and meant to be read, heard, and kept. There is a blessing promised not merely to those who study it, but to those who live it.

This sermon calls us to examine our allegiance. Are we remaining distinct and faithful to Christ, or are we blending in to avoid resistance? Faithfulness requires endurance, obedience, and unwavering commitment to Jesus — especially when the pressure rises.

As we begin this journey through Revelation, we are reminded:

God is speaking to His Church. Jesus is revealed as Lord. And the time calls for faithful obedience.
