📍 God Has a Plan: Rahab, Zacchaeus, and You

Part 1 of “From Purpose to Presence”

Have you ever looked at your life and wondered, “Is any of this really part of God’s plan?” If so, you're not alone—and you're in good company.

This week at Ashland Church of Christ, Collin Brennan launched a powerful new two-part series titled “From Purpose to Presence.” We looked at two unexpected heroes in Scripture—Rahab and Zacchaeus—whose lives were completely transformed by faith, and whose stories show us that God is always working behind the scenes, even when we don’t see it.

🌿 Rahab, a prostitute in Jericho, had only heard about the God of Israel—but she believed, acted in courage, and saved her entire family.

🌳 Zacchaeus, a corrupt tax collector, simply wanted to see Jesus—and ended up with salvation walking through his front door.

Though separated by over 1,400 years, these two lived in the same city, Jericho. And both had their lives turned upside down by faith. Even the sycamore tree Zacchaeus climbed wasn't random—God had planted it years before he ever needed it.

👉 The message: God has a plan. Not just for nations and kings, but for outcasts, skeptics, sinners—and you.

💬 Collin reminded us that we all have a role to play. Maybe you're Rahab—ready to take a bold step of faith. Maybe you’re Zacchaeus—curious, searching, hoping for change. Or maybe you’re like that tree—planted in someone else’s path to help them see Jesus.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
