French Celebration Event

Overview

Sunday, September 14, we welcome Bryan and Christi White, U.S. missionaries partnering with Francophone (French-speaking) churches and communities across the Midwest. They’ll share how God is moving among immigrants and first-generation families—and how our church can join the mission right here at home.

Message Theme: “As the Father Sent”

Jesus said, “As the Father has sent me, I also send you” (John 20:21). Missions isn’t only somewhere “over there”; it’s a call to be sent people in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and schools. Expect practical stories, Scripture, and clear next steps for living sent.

Key Scriptures

  • John 20:19–21 – Jesus sends His disciples in the power of the Spirit

  • Matthew 28:18–20 – The Great Commission for everyday disciples

  • Isaiah 6:8 – “Here am I! Send me.”

  • Acts 13:2–3 – The church sending workers

About Bryan & Christi

The Whites equip and encourage Francophone pastors, leaders, and congregations—helping bridge language and culture, strengthening discipleship, and advancing gospel unity across churches.

How We Can Respond

  • Pray for the Whites’ health, provision, and fruitful partnerships.

  • Welcome your Francophone neighbors—practice hospitality and listen to their stories.

  • Serve locally: ESL support, rides to appointments, kids & youth ministries, and more.

  • Give to missions and local outreach (designate “Missions” in your gift).

Reflection & Discussion

  1. Where is Jesus sending you this week—home, school, work, a specific person?

  2. What barrier (time, fear, comfort) keeps you from living sent?

  3. One simple act of hospitality you can offer a neighbor or newcomer?

Next Steps: Invite a friend for next Sunday, join a Life Group, and pray daily for an opportunity to live “sent.”

Why We Give

Your generosity makes ministry possible. Because of your giving, we are able to bring these messages to you virtually, extend help to our community, support church improvements, and send resources to missions near and far. Every gift makes an eternal difference as we share the love of Jesus. Thank you for partnering with us in this work!

Go Deeper

These Bible reading plans are more than just daily devotionals—they’re invitations to go deeper in your faith. Whether you’re exploring the wisdom of Proverbs, the bold challenge of James, or the redemptive story of Samson, each study is designed to draw you closer to the heart of God.

Take your next step:

  • Reflect with journal prompts

  • Talk it out in small group discussions

  • Pray through the lessons

  • Apply the truths to your everyday life

Don’t just read the Word—live it. Dive into one of these studies and let God transform your mind, strengthen your walk, and equip you to follow Jesus more faithfully.
