What's going on at ACC?

Mary didn’t have all the answers, yet she trusted the One who called her. Her obedient “yes” opened the door for God to work a miracle through her life. Advent reminds us that God often moves through simple, willing obedience.

John the Baptist prepared hearts to receive Jesus. Advent is our reminder to clear the clutter from our souls—confession, forgiveness, stillness—and make room for Christ.

Bethlehem was small—insignificant to most. Yet God chose it for one of the greatest moments in history. God often moves through the small, the humble, and the overlooked. This means He can work through your life too—your family, your story, your prayers, your small daily faithfulness. God sees you, knows you, and delights to use you.

Immanuel means “God with us.” Not God far away. Not God out of reach. God with us. In the birth of Jesus, God draws near—to our joy, our grief, our questions, and our ordinary days.

Jesus is the Light of the World—but also the Light for all nations. Long before His birth, God promised a Savior who would open blind eyes, free the oppressed, and shine into every corner of human darkness.

Before the world had time to settle into its brokenness, God promised a Redeemer. Christmas is not a last-minute rescue; it is a plan formed from the beginning. Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s unbreakable promise to defeat sin and restore what was lost.

Advent begins with a powerful theme: hope. Long before Jesus entered the world, God promised that light would break into the darkness. The people of Israel waited—sometimes faithfully, sometimes fearfully—but God’s promise remained steady. Today, we stand in that same hope.
